The Mochica Legacy Stole has been inspired by the colours, forms and symbols of the Moche culture (also known as Mochica) emerged between the northern coast and valleys of ancient Peru, particularly in the Chicama and Trujillo valleys, between 1 and 800 AD.

The Moche people were outstanding weavers who experimented with the artistic possibilities of textiles. Among their notable creations are beautiful, delicate lace fabrics symbolizing the equilibrium and richness of the sea and bestowing abundance and fertility on the home.
